Solved! Installing windows 7 via a usb drive

I want to install windows 7 on my asus 1001p netbook but i have run into some problems.
I used wintoflast to format and load windows 7 onto my pny 4gb flash drive and set the bios to the proper boot device yet when i boot with the flash drive in i get the message that says "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key".
If anyone is having the same problem or has a solution for this I would really appreciate it.

Most likely you did not make the flash drive bootable
