Internet no longer connects

I installed bitdefender and lost internet. I uninstalled, reinstalled network card drivers and I see the router but the line to internet has a red X through it. I will revert to recovering the laptop to factory if I have to. I can't do a system restore due to it fails to revert back to last save. The wireless connection shows as excellent, but fails to connect to router or internet. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Have you tried powering the router off and back on but leave if off for at least 10 seconds?

sorry for the delay, but yes I tried that first. I am now located in a different location and logged into a new network and the "e" for IE is back and under control panel network the line from router to internet no longer has a red X through it, but still cannot connect

Thanks, nothing worked. Side question, if under network connections the router is recognized and connected could there be an issue with nic card?
