Anyone know of an app that can capture IR transmission such that their byte
structure might be analysed?

I have been looking forward to having enough time to tinker with this
app... there is a huge amount of potential with ir but it is currently
way too hard to deal with in general.

What I would like to see is a pc based app that responds to html inputs
and generates ir or ir via usb output.

This way, you could build a simple custom html page (accessable by ppc
via wifi) that would generate ir signals which, in turn, could control a
variety of components.

My application is much less interesting - focused around debugging use of IR
in industrial and transport control systems...
