Is there a possible way to have the headset mic and headphone audio play at the same time?

I have a Skullcandy Hesh 2 Wireless that only works with the mic and audio when the headset is set to default in both playback and recording, but the quality in sound drops tremendously compared to having the headphones set as default.
I can't set the headphones as playback and have the headset set to default in recording since it doesn't play at the same time, so I don't get the quality sound of the headphones on its own but am unable to use the mic at the same time.

What software are you using? If I am reading this right, you want to use the mic for something, but have the audio delivered to another device?

I'm trying to use it with skype and other softwares like that.
But when I set the microphone to the headset, the mic works fine but the audio is gone. If I set playback to the headphones, the mic won't work at all but I can hear. But if I set the headset to both the mic and playback, I lose all audio quality from the headphones but can use the mic.
