Is there a test I can perform to see if my logitech G430 headset suffers from static issues or not?

Is there any kind of software? Also, apologies if I am spamming tom's hardware's forum section.

try plugging it into other computers, phones, etc. and see if it suffers from the same issue. If it does, then it's probably a static issue. But from a software side it's pretty much impossible for a piece of software to determine this.

isn't static different from interference? I mean I know phones can interfere with speakers but I had no idea to that extent, guess you learn something new every day

My Treo 650 was the best smartphone I ever had but get it near my PC speakers and it as all snap, crackle, pop.

Newer phones seem to be better but as when I'm home, I'm actually on WiFi and transmitting thru a MicroCell I dunno what has caused the reduction.
