I bought the ASUS Eee PC 1000H 3 years ago when my last PC was stolen. At that time, I do not have any particular requirements on PC. Only if it could support some multimedia and communication function. But now,my new job requires me to be equipped with a higher power processor.
I am wondering if there was anyone familair with the ASUS Eee PC here...Any method to upgrade my Eee PC?
If not, then I have another plan to buy a new PC around $500...Then which PC is the best choice?
Well, I have so many questions...

Thanks! WR2!
1. The price around $500 is acceptable.
2. Not smaller than 14' maybe okay.
3. Higher resolution would be better.
4. I need a portable laptop.
5. 3 hours are enough...
6. Just some simple games like Plants VS Zombie, Angry birds, Fishing and so on.
7. Editing the photo, watching and downloading videos, scanning websites.
8. 500G
9. Amazon.com
10. At least 5 years.
11. Both DVD ROM/Writer and Bluray ROM/Writer are okay.
12. I like ASUS, Dell, HP, Acer, Compaq, Lenovo. No special brands that hatred.
13. China
14. A 4G RAM might be better.:)

Like these data, and then? Searching the right PC on the Internet, yeah?

I owned the Asus 1005ha. The only thing you can upgrade within the eeePC is the ram. It comes with 1GB, and you can remove that and install 2GB. It's a huge difference.

With that said, nowadays you can get a great cheap 14" notebook that is fast as hell and can play 720p movies.

I had an eeePC for 2 years, and sold it last month. I had a home pc, and a tablet, so it lost its use.

If you only have one computer don't make it an eepc, look at the suggestions, or search laptops under $500.

Hmm, maybe I shall also sell the Eee PC~The customer service guy from ASUS told me to replace the 1GB ram with a 2GB one~but it would not be so helpful to increase its operation...So, I need to buy a new one. I searched on the Internet. Just as WR2 suggested, the 15.6" HP and Lenovo might be OK. And also, how do you think of the Dell laptop?

Yeah, the price is preferable~~But if I could sell the Eee PC, then I could afford buying HP or Lenovo~~:)
So those~How to make a comparison? And the price of HP varies from time to time on Amazon owing to the change of dicsounts~I guess~
