I'm getting my self a pair of jbl lx 700 speakers. I got 2 questions 1: do they sound good 2: what are the amp specs they need and can a 80 watt amp run them for a month untill i have a better amp? Kind regarts Tom

Solution
80 watts will drive then pretty loud so more power isn't often a priority. They suggest a max of 170 watts into 6 ohms. This is only 3db louder which may be wasted in most rooms. A high quality amp with real life power rating is better than a low quality amp with bogus specs.

Thanks for reacting i have another question turned out that the lx 700 that i was gonna buy needed a recone! so i got the dm110's and they suggest a 75 watt amp but should i just get a high quality 60 watt amp or should i get the full 75 watt i do want to be able to turn them up all the way without destroying the speakers because of clipping. Will a 60 watt NAD c350 do the job?
Thanks and regards
Tom
