I think the software for the Kodak camera's have an issue with 2k in general. I had the pleasure of trying to install a Dc-200(?) or a model close to it not long ago. The only way that I was able to download any of the images was to use a 3rd party app that just happened to support the Kodak (the software was ACDSee v2.4) and the only response that I received from Kodak was 'the driver supplied with the camera will work with 2000'...haven't bothered looking at the Kodak site as work now uses a Ricoh digital camera (Not that Kodak are bad - they are a really nice point and click camera)

I've checked with the tech support and they finally sent me a card reader with a compatible win2000 driver! Thanks for your response.
