Hello.
I own an Alienware laptop. It's been running normally for nearly 2 years.
But when I was playing The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth today, it all of a sudden went full throttle and didn't want to stop even after I exited the game.
So I closed my computer and opened it up, cleaned the fans and exhausts.
Then I opened it back up and it sounded normal. Until I opened Google Chrome, and it went full throttle.
I checked the temperatures and the GPU was some 42-44 Celcius.

What could be wrong?

I downloaded HWINFO, took control of the fan and turned it down to 2900 RPM. Then I let the system take the control back and now it runs normally.

Solution
Its probably programs running in the background.

Check task manager to ensure nothing unwanted is running.

Also run a malwarebytes scan , CCleaner and a defrag to make sure.

All alienware users that got an update replacing alienautopsy with dell assist agent are experiencing this right now...heck i just posted a vfew hours asking the same thing about my alienware....pretty much all alienware users are pissed off at dell right now. Go here for some tips to temporally fix the problem: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/why-launches-dell-bloatware-in-alien-such-as-dell-support-assist-agent-version-and-dell-data-vault.771147/
