Im going to college and i want to get a laptop. Excuse me if i say something wrong since im new to this stuff. My needs are 500+ ram, around 400-600 dollars or less, 4gb, and a decent video card. I would like an Asus, but im open to other brands as well.

Consider the following

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834317602&ignorebbr=1

All of these have plenty of memory (the HP is kinda lower compared to the others) and have large hard drives if you like to download and etc.

They will all be using AMD APUs, because at that price point, performance per dollar is better with the AMD ones. Intel+integrated is terrible for gaming but ok for everything else. Intel CPUs with graphics at that price point are also pretty bad, most models at this price...
