Laptop goes black on gpu driver install

Hi i have a odd problem.

Ive reinstalled my laptop and everything works right untill i install the gpu driver. Then the screen goes black, everything boots up normal, with Sound etc but no image. I tried a external monitor and that works.

I was wondering if this was a caused by a fried connection between gpu and LCD panel?

Probably not, but it would help to know your system specs and windows version. Try the guidelines for a CLEAN driver installation at the following link:

Also, if you have an HDMI external monitor connected, try disabling that connection in display properties before installing the drivers, even if the display is not actually physically connected.
