laptop graphics card not detecting by device manager

My Laptop yesterday started using my processor graphics and not my amd graphics card for gaming. It had switchable graphics features. When I opened my device manager it didn't show my amd graphics card but showed Intel processor graphics. When opened Hidden items amd graphics card showed up then I clicked on it a window pop open describing it and showing status graphics card not connected. Now how in the world can a laptop inbuilt graphics card got unconnected. Please help. THANKS IN ADVANCE

It happened to me when i had to reinstall my drivers well i have a dell laptop, when it happened i went to dell support & downloaded my graphics drivers : amd radeon r5 335, i didnt install them, first i uninstalled all drivers & amd stuff from this http/www2.ati.com/drivers/amdcleanuputility.exe
and then i installed them
