Laptop Hdd is not getting detected neither in bios nor in windows

Previously it used to get detected in bios , but coudn't boot from it.So i purchased a new hdd.Now i
want the data on this laptop HDD.How can i get it?
My mother board is MSI 970A-G43
Laptop HDD is Toshiba HDD2J51
and other pc HDD is seagate Barracuda

I am assuming you successfully managed to install Windows on the new hard drive and that your laptop is now working again.

To access data on the old hard drive you can buy a 2.5-inch external enclosure for it and plug that in to a USB port on the laptop. You should then after a few seconds see a new drive letter in 'My Computer'.
