Laptop heat problem

Hey everyone.

My laptop is 2 years old, when i first bought it stayed cool even when playing games at the highest resolution possible, the temperature stayed under 60 most of the time, but for the past couple of weeks it gets hot when im just browsing the net, the temperature stays between 55 and 60 , and i haven't noticed any lack of performance which is why im wondering is it because the dust has accumulated over these past 2 years (i haven't cleaned my laptop) or is the fan needs to be replaced?. Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated.
My specs are:

Cpu: I5 3230
Gpu: Intel Hd Graphics 4000
4 GB RAM
500 GB HDD

try cleaning the laptop inside and out. then when using it try to keep it on a book or a hard surface just because if you use it on your bed there is no airflow. and most importantly keep it in a well ventilated room because your laptop can only get as cool as your room
