can not get the audio device to work in my Dell Latitude D400. When I go into device manager and look at the properties list, everything says that it is working properly. This is in the Audio Codecs. Also the computer does not find the wireless modem card.

Everything listed may be working properly, but is everything listed that needs to be? Did you check that the sound hardware is showing up as a device?

Need to get more detail here, when did this start? Sounds like you re-installed the operating system maybe? Did you install using the recovery disks?
