Laptop not starting after a beep sound

Hi,

My toshiba laptop is not booting,after pressing the power button.Its just giving a beep sound and nuthing is dispalyed...how to proceed further...kindly help to start the lappy and atleast take the backup..

the beap is only once..wen connected for charging the beap is continious...kindly help

There is an problem with the RAM in your laptop, could be anything physically wrong.
