Hey guys.
My dad has a laptop with Pentium P6200, when I launch MSI Kombustor on it it heats up to 79C but does not thermal throttle and stays at its 2.13 Ghz, why is that so?

What make/model laptop are we talking here?
Laptops are great mobile machines but they are also very small and have little room for cooling, overclocking any PC without a very powerful and large cooler is not recommended and will likely land you with a destroyed computer.
Also, the Pentium P6200 does not officially support overclocking at all, as it is a very low end (entry level) processor, so it will likely not allow the software to perform normally.

79c is nothing to worry about. I generally do not consider a CPU to overheating unless it is above 88c. Max temp for mobile Intel CPUs is 100c.

MSI Kombustor stresses the GPU so naturally when it stresses the integrated GPU the CPU itself will start to heat up.

Okay, but when I try to play LoL on it the PC turns off and says something about 90 degrees when booting back up. Also it runs like 50C idle.
