I’m looking for recommendations for a laptop for my daughter who will be 7 next year.

Main reasons are doing school homework via flash, office apps, browsing the internet, you tube and she would also like it to be able to play Roblox.

I would need it to last approx 3 years.

Budget is around £250 to £350.

Any suggestions? Celeron, i3, pentimento 7th gen. any brand and model recommendations?

I would like ssd but at least 128gb so she has some storage for maybe photos etc

Thanks

If you don't need it to be sturdy for physical damage, a used laptop with an AMD A10 CPU will handle basic games like Roblox easily and will be in your budget. If you will be using it only as a laptop you may want a 14"+ screen, and make sure you get at least a mouse with it.

7 years old with private Laptop and browsing the internet and watching youtube ?

Never give a laptop for 7 years old , you can never control what they watch or use .

If you must , only on desktop and you are beside her.

Youtube is full of everyhing bad , from beheading people , to incest , to porn , to Adult clips , black magic teaching , Drug taking teaching , Satanist worshipers , all the garbage in the world talking into your daughter mind from china to USA , gangsters , .. even terrorists disgusting clips.

if you want to protect your daughter from strangers thoughts and teachings never allow her to watch every scum in the world uploading a movie clip on youtube and teaching others his disgusting thoughts. its like you brought every stranger in the world to talk with your daughter.

DONT DO IT.

No notebook for 7 years old.

My first thought is a Panasonic Toughbook.
They are built for field use with cushion padding and drop-resistant components.
A new one is out of your budget and not needed for a 7 year old.
A used / refurbished one would be good.

Thanks for the replies...

The laptop would only be used in a control environment with parents supervision. It would be used at the kitchen table when doing home work etc and the odd game - its not planned to be taken around with her but we don't have the room for a desktop, hence the laptop. Good advice mentioned on you tube (it will be blocked by policy now).. Also, parental restrictions would obviously be enabled.

Thanks for the advice so far but ideally I was hoping for technical and longevity advice around type of CPU that is best etc for the budget...
