Laptop stuck looping on install of windows

My acer aspire one cloudbook 14 was running slow so the guy at the shop told me to factory rest the laptop and remove all the files so i did and now the laptpp has been stuck installing windows for a week and a half. Please help, i need it for school work.

Note: Please make sure the laptop is not connected to the internet in any way before you use the following instructions.

Try the following...

1. Power off the laptop.
2. Power on the laptop.
3. As soon as you see the rotating loading circle, press and hold the Power Button until the computer shuts off.
4. Repeat this process a few times until you see the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen.
5. Now you want to let the laptop boot to the "Automatic Repair" screen.
6. Click "Advanced Options" and then select "Troubleshoot".
7. Here you want to select "Refresh your PC", if you do not wish to erase data, or "Reset your PC" to erase all data and restore your system.
8. From here just follow the screen instructions until the recovery is completed.

NOTE: You will need to get into the "Advanced Options" in order to get the "Refresh Option". This choice will keep your data, but any programs installed will be lost.

Do not do a "Reset" as that will wipe all data you have on the laptop.

You're misunderstanding, my laptop has no personal data on it so i was allowed to factory reset it and i had already started the process and when it started re-installing windows on the laptop and configuring the settings it got caught in a loop for two weeks and i havent been able to access it or anything.

No, I did get that. This can happen when doing the reinstall. Especially if it is involving Windows 10. It can lead to meltdowns (so to speak) due to certain files that get updated/try to get updated during the install get 'stuck'. When they don't install correctly, then it causes the computer to start looping round and round due to the bad update/install. This is why the first line of the instructions given says to not be connected to the internet when you do this. So you can avoid just having the same thing occur again. Following that process will usually (nothing is always) sort the problem out.

It wasn't connected to the internet, it was hving problems connecting to it so we turned that off and reset it and it is still stuck on the loop even after following the instructions you gave me

I see. I am still trying to wrap my head around his telling you to wipe it and start fresh. Doesn't make a lot of sense. That is usually a last resort option. When you started the reinstall, was it from a partition on the drive, or from a CD or Thumb drive?

I just remember going into the settings, per his instructions, turning off the wifi connection, and hitting the factory reset option and then the delete everything, including my files button and it started the reset and finished and then it automatically started to install windows onto the laptop and its been looping ever since

Also, I didn't ask, is it still under warranty? If it is, you could contact the manufacturer about a possible repair or replacement.

Just wanted to add credit here.

You're best bet at this part is to get a bootable CD/USB drive that has a windows install on it and doing a format/install of whatever you currently have going on.

Be sure to remove said disks/devices once you're past the first installation step, otherwise you'll be in that constant loop you've been in already.
