Hey, everyone. So I'm having a bit of trouble nailing this down (with so many options out there):

I'm a digital artist that works in Photoshop and am looking for the laptop/tablet combo (whether it's a "transformer" or a tablet with a keyboard) with the largest screen and/or largest resolution while still having a digitizer. Touch ability is something I really don't care about but I guess it would be nice if it had that too.

I think my price range is around $2,000 but I'm wiling to go higher if it would be worth it. I don't need the best of the best, just looking for basic pen functionality and a large screen.

Anything that (is not too old and) matches these specs out there? Or anything about to be released? I'm not in a rush to get it or anything. I have one that works for now.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I believe most laptops with an active digitizer are going to be rather small because they are designed to be held in one hand while the other hand is holding the pen. All of the ones I am aware of are less than 13.3". The 12.5" Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga is an example. There is a larger 14" Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga, but this version does not have an active digitizer, not even as an option.

The 12.5" ThinkPad Yoga can be had with either a 1366x768 or 1920x1080 resolution screen. The 12" Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a 2160x1440 resolution screen and an active digitizer, but it is more of a tablet than a laptop. You can purchase an optional keyboard designed for it, but based on what I have read they are not best keyboard for typing.

Actually I forgot about the Wacom Cintiq Companion tablet which is designed specifically for artists. It is a 13.3" tablet with a 1920x1080 resolution screen. It is a bit chunky and heavy because a stand is integrated into the tablet. However, this is an expensive tablet which starts at $2,100; like I stated it is designed specifically for artists. A keyboard is sold separately.

Here is a video of someone using it.

Thanks for the responses!

Yeah actually that's the one I have been looking at (the Lenovo Yoga 12.5) but... I actually have a Surface Pro 2 and a 10 year old (something like that) Lenovo X61 Tablet PC. I DISLIKE the Surface Pro 2 with a PASSION. So much so that after 8 months of using it, I've gone back to my Lenovo X61, which I LOVE. Everything on it just... works. The only reason for me to upgrade would be to go with a larger screen or at the very least, a higher drastically higher resolution (something like the Surface Pro 3 but... the Surface Pro 2 has convinced me never to buy a Surface again). Unfortunately the Lenovo Yoga 12.5 is only very slightly larger and slightly higher resolution than the x61... and it's pretty pricey for what it is. I never run into any issues with RAM or CPU speed on my X61 so I may just stick with that until they release something a little larger. - also worth noting that I have a very fast SSD in my x61.

I've got a friend with one of the Wacom Cintiq's but I was looking for something that I could also use as a laptop (aka something with a built-in or attachable keyboard) and something a bit less heavy.

These are good suggestions though. It's what I expected, just thought there may be something out there that I haven't seen yet. Like the Fujitsu LifeBook T902? Maybe?
