Laptop using default mic instead of plugged in mic but only one microphone listed in recording devices.

Hi,

I have a Sony laptop (Model:SCF14AC1QL) and when I plug in a headset with mic (TRRS) the onboard microphone starts working and the sound does come out of the headset earplugs. The list of recording devices only has one microphone listed. I have updated the sound driver to the latest version after this problem started.

your wanna mute default microphone by going to left click on the right bottom speakers icon. left click again on mixer choose microphone icon and mute.the problem gonna persist every time your restart your laaptop your gonna be required to do same way mute default microphone.i now its frustrated but there is no other way.
