Laptop won't boot windows after installing new ram please help

I went to best buy and bought a pack of corsair 4gb x2 laptop memory and when I installed it on my laptop it won't boot into windows and gives me a windows recovery error.

I ran a memory diagnostic test and it said there were no errors and its saying I have 8gb of memory

Hrm, they seem to be compatible. I'm guessing it manages to boot if you go back to using the old memory? It's possible you just got some bad RAM.

Very sorry for the late reply, but yes it was not compatible, I returned it and got another pack and it works just fine now
