ASUS K42JC...the original Adapter was burnt (Input 100-240V - 1.5A / output 19v - 4.74A) but it worked, now i use the un-original adapter...borrowed a temporary Toshiba Adapter from my friend (Lower volt and ampere) , but then, they're not charging at all. then i bought another ASUS Adapter, (same volt and ampere as the original) different models. The battery sign on the taskbar is not moving at all, i've removed the battery and played my laptop without the battery (Charger only).
can you guys help me solving this problem ? buying a new battery is my last concern...soglirry for my bad english

It is possible that the battery or the charging circuitry was damaged by whatever also damaged the original adapter. If the laptop works when connected directly to power, then the adapters and power port have no problems. Have your laptop and battery checked at a service center.
