Laptops starts up but black screen, also no picture on monitor when connected by vga

Got that laptop acer e1-531. It turns on. LED's light up and I can hear and feel fans moving, warm air comes from wents. It also makes beep sound when pluging and unpluging charger. It probably isn't the screen, as no visible damage, can't see picture under any angle, but mainly because no picture shows up when I connect laptop with vga cable to my pc monitor (I pressed the swap display buttons). So probably it's gpu component or motherboard fault. I would like to ask you for advice if I should check anything else. Have your thoughts on the problem. Thank you in advance.

I think you conclusion is correct. I had the issue with an Acer but it did work on an external screen. After researching it looking like it was the inverter. Well it tuen out to be the inverter cable and not the inverter itself. But since you not getting anything on the external it sound like it's the GP.
