Lenovo G50-45 no operating system problem

I got a Lenovo notebook for my birthday without an operating system. I don't know the button for BIOS. Also, I installed Linux on a USB flash drive (the flash has 14GB free space, so that's not the problem) and when I stick it in the notebook it doesn't work/nothing happens.

Can anyone help me with this?
