Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 Screen is Black

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 that the screen has gone all black. I hooked it up to an external monitor and it's functioning perfectly, it's just the display that's not working. I tried to remove battery, hold down the power button for 20 seconds, restarted with a/c cord only, etc...didn't fix it.

Any suggestions are very appreciated! Thx.

If the laptop is under warranty, contact the manufacturer about a repair or replacement.

If it isn't, then you yourself, or you can take it to a tech, will need to check the ribbon cable that connects the display for any damage and possibly replace it. If that doesn't resolve it, then the whole display may need replacing.
