LG and Yamaha 4K question

LG OLED 65B7 connected to Yamaha RX V383 receiver...question is do I need to turn on the 4K setting on the receiver to enable the 4K up scaling on the receiver for the 4K signal to pass through? The TV already upscales the 1080p signal, so turning on the receiver's upscaling feature will help or deter the picture....thanks

The receiver should pass 4k video without the scaling turned on. That would only affect lower res video. The TV may have better scaling than the receiver. You can try each to see if you notice a difference. If you are gaming turning off video processing in the receiver will reduce or eliminate lag.
