LG Monitor problem

My notebook wont detect my lg monitor windows 8.1

- Exact modelnumber and specifications from your laptop
- Exact modelnumber LG monitor
- What ports are you using? HDMI?

Notebook model is HP 15-ac122nu, monitor model is LG 24mt49df-pz, i connect them through HDMI
The monitor itself has only 1 hdmi port and 1 for tv antenna

Press the Win key + P, and choose the setting you want.

Nothing happens when i choose any of the settings, i cannot see the monitor to be detected at all

Does the monitor work on another PC?

Yes i brought it back to the shop along with the hdmi cable, both tested and work correctly, however if i connect the notebook to my Philips TV it works like a charm

I bought a brand new LG Monitor which has only 1 hdmi port and 1 for tv antenna, however when i connect them with an hdmi cable nothing happens, notebook wont detect the display at all, and monitor says no signal, monitor and hdmi cable tested, they do work.
(when i connect my notebook to my Philips TV it works like a charm), i've been struggling for 3 days now please help

It would help if you told us what model of tv it is an what laptop you have.

LG 24MT49DF-PZ and hp 15-ac122nu

Check the external input menu on the LG using the TV remote - - it may need changing from antenna to HDMI.

I did that also, im not that "stupid" i think its something bigger or i need to change settings or something, my notebook uses 2 grapic cards
