Last week, the HDMI inputs on my LG TV stopped receiving a signal all-at-once. After reviewing some forums on the subject matter, I am fairly confident the chip on the motherboard failed. I called some local repair shops who suggest that the repair would be ~$200. Are there any other options such as a converter that can help me kick the bucket down the road? My other option is to buy a ~$450 tv from Costco...

Thank you for your time and help.

Solution
Some (not all) manufacturer's warranties are the bare minimum (generally) they are allowed under law. 12months is the minimum in most 'new' cases,

Thank you for the quick response, Barty1884. That is unfortunately what I figured...

I was very surprised to learn that LG's warranty is only 12 months... definitely seems on the low side of things considering I automatically get a 2 year warranty from Costco and can tack on another 3 years with SquareTrade for $25...
