light flashing on a Acer C710netbook

The power light has turned orange the operating light is still blue. They both are flashing even if I don't open the top showing the screen. If it does start to take a charge it will do so for only a few minutes and then the lights and the power switch light start flashing. What is going on with it?

That usually indicates a battery issue. It is either not charging and/or not working correctly. If it is the original battery, it may just be at the end of its life. If it is an after market battery, then it may be a bad battery.

Either way, you probably need to purchase a new battery. Side Note: Don't buy after market. While many after market things are great, laptop batteries are not.
