My laptop was working before I left it came back to finish project lightso won't come on charger is connected

I assume you have tried to turn it on?

I'm not being sarcastic or anything, the best way to solve a problem is to eliminate obvious causes.

So you're saying there is no picture on your monitor? Or is it keyboard back-lighting which is the issue?
