Loading youtube videos creates massive lag

Currently Im using Chrome. Sometimes when I attempt to load a youtube video, my computer would have super lag for around 30 seconds and the video wouldn't play. This happens at random times for a few minutes and then everything would be normal again. Does anyone know what might be the cause of this? I believe this has happened before when I tried to open a twitch stream as well.

A lot of crap gets added onto Chrome. Wash it off with Malwarebytes and getting rid of all unknown extensions. It'll eat up your ram space.

Is your browsing performing well? No really laggy browsing elsewhere? Run a speed test via speedtest.net and post results. As i7Baby said, run a scan with MalwareBytes. Is your Chrome up to date? Do you have x64 bit of Chrome if you are running x64 bit system?
