Hi guys. :ange: I know there's a lot of threads asking about if which laptop works best for The Sims 3 but when I surf through them, It just can't settle my question. So, I've decided to ask you guys myself. I'm looking for a laptop that'll run Sims 3 smoothly if it has all expansion packs and stuff packs AND with mods. I heard Intel Integrated graphic cards isn't the best alley way, so I won't be using that. I don't really care for the visual design of it, as long as the specs are great I'm down for it. Also, all I will be doing is listening to music, playing Sims 3, Netflix, and I'll be using Camastia Studios. And lastly, I'm pretty good with computer talk, so you don't have to break it down for me, and just give suggestions and how it'll run TS3. I will respond quickly and I'll be active, so please help, thanks. :)

NOTE: I could probably buy a 390-400 laptop too. (Mainly focused on 100-300 though.)

I have not seen a laptop that can do much of anything for $300....I would find the 1366 x 768 resolution on anything in that price range very limiting for any game and that's about all that i available in that price range

Here's one of the better $300 options
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6R432A7474

But, in my experience, most users who want to game, have been disappointed at price points below $650.

the game requirements are noit high as it's an old game.... if you were putting WinXP on it, would be better but between a modern OS and the slow HD, I think you will find performance disappointing

I heard integrated graphics are pretty bad though, especially Intel. What about these?
(I really hope this one is good enough.)

Ah, so the AMD graphic card in both of the suggested laptops aren't recommended? If not, do you have any laptop suggestions?

The one I recommend for kids heading off to "kolludge" looking to get thru the 4 years w/o replacing (the 950M is ranked in 59th place) is linked below..... but this is much much more than you need for Sims 3. I think you'd be OK with the HP for Sims 3 but my concern is "How well will it serve you 6...12...18 months from now.

notebook review says these cards "These graphics cards are able to play the latest and most demanding games in high resolutions and full detail settings with enabled Anti-Aliasing"

But they are considerably more than you wanted to spend @$862.

One of the dudes there for this laptop said "You should be able to play Sims 3 on its highest settings." Is that true?

How long do you think they'll last? And, thanks for helping by the way.

Lenovo is currently having a sale on their Y40-80 series laptops. It is the only thing that I know of that you can get something a bit cheap.

I wish it was cheaper, smh. Amazing laptop too.

For the low price, go with a lenovo as they are cheap and reliable. I would try and look for an amd card rather than intel as they have better specs at low prices.

Acers are another good alternative. Just make sure to turn of the always on option for the fan when not gaming and the laptop should be good,

Acer's customer service gets on my damn nerves, haha. I don't think I'd by from them at all, lmao. And yeah, Lenovo seems pretty radical, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Z50-15-6-Inch-Laptop-80EC0087US/dp/B00NNQFNV4/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1432501589&sr=1-2
