Looking for decent notebook

I am looking for a notebook that will be relatively small and light to carry around, around 14". It will be mainly used for note taking, possibly some CAD software, and other general use like streaming films etc. I do have a pc so I am not likely to be gaming on the notebook however it would be nice if it could handle light gaming like CSGO/LoL. I have a budget of around £650-700 (anything above may be possible but unlikely unless big difference).

This is the best i have found so far however it is a bit above my budget.

If you could afford that, it's probably your best bet. Although I'm not sure about pairing integrated graphics and CAD programs. But this would be excellent for note taking because of the battery life and weight. The integrated graphics, especially with the i7 and 12 gigs of RAM, should be fine for CSGO or League.

I'd say to go for the Zenbook if you can afford it. It's a solid Ultrabook equipped with some awesome specs.

But if you want to save a little money, http/www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ2NC2678 is also a pretty good option. It has an i7-4500U, which should offer CPU performance close to that of the 6500U, 8 gigs of RAM, and a GT 740M, which I believe is slightly better than the integrated graphics on the i7. It also has more but slower storage. But there are a few drawbacks. This laptop is much less portable than the Zenbook, and it only has a 1366 x 768 screen, which might be important if you're looking to stream movies.

It really comes down to personal preference. Keep in mind that you may regret saving the $100 and purchasing the V55 later on down the road as you start to get sick of the 768p screen and clunkier build. Hope that helped!
