Looking for good recommendations for light gaming laptops

Hi

I'm trying to get a new laptop because my current laptop, almost 6lbs, causes me pain (I have Scheuermann's disease). I'm a huge gamer and would prefer VR ready. But I'm looking to cut my weight in half if possible and would really appreciate every bit of help provided.

I've just gone over my finances again and discovered that I actually can't spend as much.

Is there any way I could request assistance in finding a laptop for the meantime? Again, weight is the main issue. But I'm struggling to find one. Any ideas on good laptops that are either new but not as expensive (and still light and fast) or of a previous generation but light and fast enough?

Or a good gaming ultrabook that isn't really expensive.

you could buy an ultrabook like a lenovo yoga 720 13, clevo n130bu or hp spectre x360 13.
they have a thunderbolt3 port and they could use an egpu like akitio node
