Hello, I'm considering getting a dell xps 15 9575 2in1 for work purposes and VR gaming on the side. This is intended to be my secondary gaming machine but there's one problem. There are only 2 thunderbolt ports and 2 usb c ports. I've tried looking for a solution to this question but I wasn't able to do so. I'd like to find something that will support 2 rift sensors minimum and the rift HMD's hdmi and usb. Thank you in advance.

Your current best bet is an ADAPTER if you can't wait for the upcoming VR headsets that use that single Type-C connection.

It's $50USD:

*I am confused by the single USB3.0 connection on that adapter as it says it is RIFT compatible. Does that mean no sensors? I'll look for a manual.

UPDATE: I just realized that the adapter is for the HEADSET only which only needs that single USB3.0 connector and HDMI v1.3+... for the other USB3.0/2.0 connections you could just get a suitable, separate Type-C adapter with whatever connections you need since you'd have two.

You may be able to find an adapter with everything you need but that's all I found so far. I assume the newer USB Type-C VR headsets will just merge HDMI and the 1xUSB3.0 connector anyway so you'd still likely need a separate USB Type-C to (2xUSB3.0 + 1xUSB2.0 or just 3xUSB3.0 to cover the USB2.0 a different way??… I believe that is accurate).

I don't know if some adapters would have any LATENCY issues but you'd want to confirm that as this is pretty real-time stuff.

Yah, they do exist: https://www.startech.com/ca/Cards-Adapters/USB-3.0/Hubs/4-port-usb-3-hub~HB30C3A1CFS
