Hello Laddies,
Looking for a light laptop around $800 (but can go to $1000 if the difference in quality is that big) that isn't a mac. I think they are referred to as 'ultrabooks'. I'll mostly be using it for school. Don't need to game. PS: My school says Mac iOS is not compatible with their testing service.
Anyways, maybe someone can talk me out of getting an ultrabook and getting a chrome book (if it works with their testing service)
I've had my eye on the Asus Zenbook ux305ua for a bit. For $699 it was very appealing, especially considering it has good/modern specs. However, I read that it has a terrible trackpad and the SSD is very slow/bad. Any thoughts?

Similarly, the ux303 caught my eye. However, upon researching, the touch screen on it isn't very good and also suffers from the above problems. Also, I work at walmart, so I can get it at a discounted price for $700. EDIT: Btw, just realized the link says 4GB/128GB but the description says 8gb/256gb... WTF?

Also it seems like there are 20 different versions of the ux303 and 305's
Conversely, the xps 13 is nice but more expensive - the same components as the asus would make the xps 13 around $1000.
Thoughts, comments, recommendations?
Thanks a ton
