lost cell pictures

How did they recover your pics? I just recently lost all my cell pics. I'm really sick about it. About a year ago I lost all of my kids pictures on my laptop. And I've had this sd card since they were little. Please help mr recover them

I just picked up my phone one day and it said blank sd card or it has unsupported files. Now it won't let me mount the card or anything. But thanks for the advice. Going to try it asap.
