I have lost my data driver, im not an expert be any means on computers, so i will describe my situation the best possible. I have a MSI GE62 2QL Apache. I reset lt had problems with my sound so i restored my computer to a point. Since then my sound works but the problem is that on my computer there are two drives to my understanding one with low space which is for performance and the other to store data, like pics movie etc. since i have restored my computer this (D:) driver is no where to be seen even my shortcut says that make sure it in inserted properly or network resource is available. what i have i done and how do i get this part of my computer back.......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCa-m_XmKXE this you tube videoshows me how to factory restore is this the right way? or not?

Solution
depends on how much perseverance u can show...
it might recover or it might not...but u cannot be sure unless u have exhausted all options...

this is one of the best softwares out there... http://www.m3datarecovery.com/
but you need to get hold of the full version...

this is a step by step instruction... http://www.m3datarecovery.com/data-recovery/online-help...

the method you should be looking for is..."How to recover deleted or lost partition?"....
it is towards the middle of the instruction page...

Hi there Katie_14,

Initialization could be data destructive.
You need to try to recover the data stored on the drive first. You can do so with a data recovery tool: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html
You need to save the recovered data on the other drive.

After that, you can initialize, partition and format the drive. Then you can just put the data back on it.

How to initialize a drive: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=1cSQDp

Let us know how this goes,
D_Know_WD :)

I cant do this even cause the path does nt exist and no option are highlighted when i right clink the drive.
Usually, the Initialize Disk Wizard will appear automatically when you open Disk Management. If you have more than one blank drive that needs to be initialized it will list them. Make sure that there is a check in the box of the drive that needs to be initialized and then left-click on the Ok button. If the wizard does show up, go to step 5. If the wizard does not show up, please see the note and additional images directly below. I guess i have too say good bye drive . now my cool computer is a F#%$^ computer
