m15x overheating or motherboard?

I saw a M15x for sale on ebay and the seller said it turns off after 20 mins. Seems to me like its overheating, think i can just clean out the vents and throw some new thermal paste on it ?

Probably.
But there is no way to tell without opening it up and testing it.
Could be a bad fan or temp sensor going out.
