I need to put together a IMPRESSIVE 7.1 system. It will be put in a
120x60x24ft studio, which is... quite large. The system must be portable
(at least the surround speakers).
I was looking into the biggest range of Genelec mains before I knew the
dimension of the room, but will I be able to pull this of with say 7
1035B's and a few 7073a sub's? Another approach would be to switch to
PA-cabs (Meyer or the likes), but this involves a huge compromise in
quality.
The system will be used occasionally to preview
movies/music-clips/DVD-A's with medium large audiences. They should be
swept of their feet with quality sound. Normally the studiofloor will be
used for shooting/recording, hence the portability of surround speakers.
Any thoughts or different approaches?
Thanks in advance,
Sander
