Dear guys on this forum

A year ago i overclocked my Gtx 460m with msi afterburner, after that the gpu crashed with every game. A month later i bought a few GPU`s GTX 860m 2GB + GTX 880m 8GB + Quadro K5000M 4GB + Quadro K4100M also 4GB.

These are my current laptop specs.
Medion Erazer X6812
Intel Core i5 460m
Samsung 2x4GB 1333Mhz + One emtply slot beneath the keyboard
Nvidia Quadro K5000M 4GB GDDR5 15.6" 1366x768 Resolution
Samsung Enterprise MZ7WD480HAGM 480GB
Western Digital Blue 500GB

I am currently busy with the follow project.
The Quadro inside of my laptop at this moment is working perfectly.
Running GTA V + Rainbow Six Siege Battlefield 4 and 1 on High/Ultra depentrs on MSAA

The Quadro K5000M works on the stock resolution 1366x786.
I ordered a Brand new Full HD 40 pin LCD screen for testing it.

This is what i want.
1 - Upgrading to the Geforce GTX 880M 8GB And 1080P screen and updating Bios
2 - Just upgrade to the 1080P and updating bios
3 - In the worst case just update the Bios and Upgrade to an i7 CPU

I recently tried the 8GB GPU but the backlight turns on the laptop starts up and the fan is spinning but there are no letters on the screen. If you connect a HDMI screen to the laptop, the secondary monitor will work. Drivers are compatible. But i hope the GPU will work with the ordered Full HD screen.
I also want to update the BIOS.
Current BIOS = American Megatrends Inc. E16F1IM7 VER1.08 21/09/2010
Guys help me out to find a working BIOS Update for this machine. My theorie is that the update will let the GTX 880m function.

And another question.
The CPU isi5 460m Socket rPGA 989
Can you find me a Quad Core Intel Core i7 for this machine. I am using a 19.5volts 11.8amps Adapter so don`t worry about the power consumption.

Thanks people!!!!

as the external monitor works ok then not a bios issue but hardware issue as in loose video cable between the card & laptop screen. your cpu can either be soldered to motherboard or be in a socket so you need to actually see which it is. Sockets Supported BGA1288, PGA988 https://ark.intel.com/products/50179/Intel-Core-i5-460M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_53-GHz
check Medion site to see if there is a bios update available for your laptop.

Thanks for your answer ffg7.
I recieved the FHD screen and going to test it today.
About the CPU. The i5 is a not soldered CPU on the motherboard. Help me out to find a i7 for the socket PGA988.
Thanks.
