I have a Dell Axim X5 with Windows Mobile 2002 and I need
to free space. The available memory space seems to lessen
although I have deleted files. I think the databases need
to be be decompressed to save the necessary space. Is
there a way to do this without having to buy a program to
do so?

I think you meant 'compressed' there :)
The biggest space hog on your PPC is maybe Pocket Internet
Explorer's cache, you can delete the files through PIE,
and you may also want to check these directories:
\Temp
\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
\Windows\Profiles\guest\Cookies
\Windows\Profiles\guest\Temporary Internet Files
And help Windows clean up after itself ;)
