Microphone detected as a speakers?

Hi. In my Legion Y720 there is one combo A/V interface - minijack 3,5mm. So it is headphones input and microphone output at the same time. When I plug in headphones, they work fine. But when i want to plug in the external microphone (Plantronics Audio 300), it is detected as a speakers.

You're going to need a splitter like this:

Hmm, really? Well, I thought that combo interface doesn't require anything else to work. Can you write the name of this splitter? Or other that will work?
