That is recap of my "Asus ROG Orion Pro" thread that I posted earlier, but no answer. So I thought I would explain it in other way. I connect my headphones via USB Amp that is called ROG Spitfire. I can hear sound, but when I use my mic it doesn't pick up any sound. It is classified as unknown https://www.flickr.com/photos/131780101@N04/16750369172/ . Should I do something in does menus https://www.flickr.com/photos/131780101@N04/16129178674/in/photostream/ and https://www.flickr.com/photos/131780101@N04/16750412332/in/photostream/ ?

Solution
could be that the microphone is busted, the plug is busted or you have a break in the wire perhaps.

if new, perhaps exchange.
looking at the orion pro headset.. it includes 2x 3.5mm connectors or the option of using usb.

the one 3.5mm handles sound into your headphones (what you would connect up to the amp though honestly i cant believe these would need an amp).

the other handles your microphone and would be plugged into your motherboard mic jack (front or rear). if you do not plug in this second cable you will get no mic.

not sure if the mic would work if you have the usb connected AND the 3.5mm for headphone to the amp. maybe is the best i can give on that scenario though i do know the 3.5mm solution above will work.

2x connectors need to be used to get both mic and audio.

now if the headset is not the same i saw images of and only has a single 3.5mm connector... likely its a 4pole not 3pole so needs a splitter to 2x 3pole connectors from 4pole.

Tried to hook it up to the back of the case and the mic didn't work. - Again But I have some kind of software that is called VIA HD Audio. Is it possible the drivers of both to cross each other and not allowing the other driver to work properly or something like that? I wanted to try and uninstall it, but not sure, if something will happen to other devices and software that are using this VIA HD Audio software? Suggestions?

reinstalling your audio drivers is certainly something to check.

make sure that you are plugging hte headphones in correctly as well. the mic goes to the pink mic jack and headphone to the green headphone jack.

if possible i'd also try them out on a different computer to try and pinpoint which is giving you the problem: your pc or the headphones.
