Microsoft lifecam HD-3000 & W10 64bit

Hi

I bought a Microsoft HD-3000 life cam but it is not working on my W10 64 bit Pavilion 15 laptop, I have found a few threads that say it only works on W7 or W10 32 bit is there any way around this as I would prefer not to downgrade.
