I am looking to purchase a Surface 4 with i7 processor but when I go online I am seeing advertisements for i7 surface 4's as follows:

i7 or i7e
6650u or 6600u

When I queried Microsoft via chat they stated that the Surface 4 only comes in 6650u and if I see a "e" after i7 it means it has the Iris chipset.

Given the price variances I am seeing for a i7 with 512G storage and 16GB ram I am trying to get more confidence in what I am actually buying?

Interested if anyone has any if on this?

Thanks
Paul

6650u would be the "better" of the two IMO due to the Iris Graphics. They both have the same turbo boost speeds; the 6650u has a lower base clock that the CPU will only spend time at when both the on-board graphics & CPU are totally maxed out.

RGD1101, you gave me 3 links....2 were for 6650U and one for 6600U? Since the 6600U is better then the 6650U then how do i make sure I am getting a Surface 4 with the 6600U?
