Solved! Mixbook - resolution warning

I'm using Mixbook to make a gift for my husband. My photos are all getting the warning signal indicating that the resolution is not good enough and may be blurry in print. I have been trying to adjust the resolution using GIMP (like photoshop only free) and that results in very small photographs. Tiny. Any ideas?

You can't just adjust the resolution, you can't add info where info did not exist and end up with a good result. If you have an 800x600 image and you have it at 4x6 size, if you want to make it sharper, it will drop down to a smaller size photo which is what you are seeing.
