I seek advice. I have a Sony STR-DN1060 7.2 channel receiver rated at the back 6-16 ohms on the speaker connection. Can I use a mixture of 8ohms and 6 ohms speakers on a 7.2 channel amp rated 6-16 ohms ie use 8 homes on front speakers and center speaker covering Zone 1 and 6 ohms on the second set of zone 2 front speakers and rear speakers? The amp is 165 watts per channel. Can this combination put the amp at risk?

Solution
Yes it should be fine, but keep both fronts the same, both surrounds the same. Do not use a 6 ohm on the left and an 8 ohms on the right.

Why? Only for loudness difference between left and right chanel, or is there any electrical issue too?

After what I said above whatever makes you happy. Nothing is gonna blow up.
