I am currently running 4k at 60HZ on my main viewing TV/display. It is an RCA 4k60hz TV with chroma 4:4:4 (microcenter) but as said only goes to 60HZ. Due to the fact that 4k native 120Hz displays dont exist yet, I am contemplating getting a monitor to use as a second display. What prompted this decision is turning off V sync, I saw just how many frames I am missing. I am running a 4790k and 1080TI. So, as much as I love 4k...should I get a 2560 x 1440 display at say 144HZ, or would I be better suited getting a 1080P monitor at a high refresh rate? I assume due to the fact I love high quality, the answer is 2560 x 1440 but looking at prices I am left wondering...why are these so expensive? Anyway, my plan is to use my main 55 inch on 4k titles where refresh rate is not so important (aka non shooters...along with movie and TV watching) and the secondary display on those titles where it is...Any suggestions of monitors would be great (lower price the better), and whether to choose 2560 x 1440 or 1080P. Also, I know 4k TVs that can do 4k 120HZ (natively) are coming, so maybe just wait and replace my 55 inch 4k60hz with one TV that can do it all? Thanks in advance...
